What is Donna's Corn Maze?

Donna's Corn Maze is a 10 acre field of tightly planted bright green stalks of corn as illustrated in the picture above.

Inside the tall field of corn, we have cut several walking paths and bridges, creating a maze with only one way in and one way out. The object is to make it through the maze by entering through one pathway and exiting another. The journey takes approximately two to three hours to complete. As an added bonus, you may use the free game sheet (or cheat sheet as it is more commonly known) to assist with your navigation. Along the way are several checkpoints where you gather clues to solve the maze quest puzzle located on your game sheet. If your brain cells are limited due to a hard days work, you may simply walk the maze, absorbing fresh air and rays of sunshine (during the day) or enjoy the moon (at night). If you have experienced Donna's Corn Maze in the past, this year presents with yet another exhilarating challenge.

For those of you who are educators or for parents who would like to challenge their children, the game sheet may be used as an educational experience. The game sheet reinforces basic comprehension skills such as following directions and making computations. It also challenges higher order thinking skills. Some may include analyzing relationships, understanding main idea, drawing inferences/conclusions, and problem solving. As a general rule of thumb, children love to play and learn. Donna's Corn Maze is an excellent source that makes learning fun. It is also an excellent source for enhancing socialization skills.

For teenagers, it is a great time to chill out, laugh, and have fun with friends, while simultaneously enjoying the maze. It is better to enhance those social skills than to damage eyesite and burn brain cells with those video games!
